NGC 941 is located approximately 55 million light-years away in the constellation Cetus. This faint galaxy is classified as an intermediate spiral, exhibiting characteristics between a barred spiral with a central bar and an unbarred spiral.
Overall, NGC 941 has a bluish appearance, and the presence of dust lanes in its central region indicates ongoing star formation. The small orange galaxies visible around it are actually much more distant background galaxies, seen through NGC 941 due to its low surface brightness.
