Detail | : | Suprime-Cam, the wide field of view imager mounted on the primary focus of Subaru Telescope located on Mauna Kea, Hawai'i, USA and operated by the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan, has been used for a variety of research subjects. In order to choose specific color in the light for their study, astronomers can use wide-band filter or narrow-band filter. Support astronomers were working on the maintenance of these filters and the exchange system in the laboratory in the base facility in Hilo, which gave a rare opportunity to get a glimpse of how the exchanger works.
