Ms. Nakasone-Medeiros began her work at Subaru Telescope in October 2017. She served as a vital link between the local community and the staff at Subaru Telescope. She was passionate about showcasing various job opportunities at our observatory to students from elementary school through college. Her involvement in career fairs and outreach events, such as AstroDay and the Tanabata Japanese Star Festival, significantly increased the visibility of Subaru staff in the local community.
