The PFS (Prime Focus Spectrograph) Prime Focus Instrument on the Top Unit Exchanger before being installed on the Subaru Telescope. It is delivered to the telescope’s prime focus and installed by day crew members. PFS consists of the Prime Focus Instrument, Spectrograph System (four spectrographs) on the 4th floor in the dome building, the fiber cables connecting Prime Focus Instrument and Spectrograph, and Metrology Camera System at the Cassegrain Focus of the telescope.
