My schedule
Most of the staff members at the Subaru Telescope are based in Hawai‘i, but I am based in the Mitaka headquarters. I am going to show you my day in the office.
| 9:00 | Arrival at the office The first thing to do is to make coffee;my day does not start without it! I then check my emails, messages on slack, etc. |

| 10:00 | Business meeting About the next generation instrument for Subaru. I often discuss with people from overseas. The meeting language is of course English. |

| 13:00 | Giving a class to graduate students. I usually prepare slides in advance and discuss with students. |

I used to go to Maunakea for observations quite often when I was a student. Weather did not always cooperate as you can see in this picture... The only good thing about clouds overhead is that the sunset is beautiful.
