We are organising an exciting excursion for the attendees of the workshop. We will take you through an old lava tube and hike the trail of Kilauea Iki through a crater which was active only 50 years ago.
The hike is approximately 1.5-4 hrs long and is over relatively flat terrain for the most part. Please bring appropriate footwear, a jacket or raincoat as its often cold and wet in the park, sunscreen, a hat and whatever else will make your day outing comfortable. Of course, bringing water and food is recommended.
People travelling with you who are not attending the conference can attend this event at no cost. Just let us know their names so we can get the appropriate bus.
CAUTION:
