E It was proven without any umbiguity that the NW side of M31 is nearer to us form the different amount of interstellar reddening observed for globular clusters in the NW region and in SE region.
E The extinction law in the central HI gas poor region of M31 disk appears to be different from that observed in the HI ring region of M31. This seems to indicate the difference in the size distribution of dusts.
E Reddening free intrinsic colors of globular clusters in M31 show systematic gradients along the disk and implies the metalicity gradient.
M31 Globular Clusters provide rich information on the chemical evolution, interstellar extinction, dust properties, spiral orientation, etc. Infrared photometry will make another step forward in these areas of research.
