The mirrors are aluminum substrate, and were diamond-turned + post-polished. The wavefront quality delivered by 2-mirror sytem was approximately 25nm RMS for each of the benches.

The PIAA optics were manufactured by Axsys Technologies , Imaging Systems, in Detroit, MI, USA. They were delivered mounted and aligned on a bench. Two benches (4 mirrors total) were manufactured.
