Bread

In Paris where I lived for two years, I fell in love with French bread -- the crispy crust, tender airy interior, a crackling sound it makes when you tear it off.  Bread brought joy to my everyday life.   Almost on every block in Paris, you can find a Boulangerie (bakery) and almost every day I bought a baguette at my favorite bakery.  After I moved to California however, I found it difficult to find European style bread unless I drive several miles. So I started baking.
