Astro Facts
Around the Big Island of Hawai‘i there is hardly any artificial light, making it easier to observe the night sky. Plus, the low humidity makes the infrared light emitted from astonomoical objects easier to reach the telescope. The Subaru Telescope observes two types of light: infrared light, which cannot be seen with the human eye and visible light. In infrared light, we can see newborn stars for example. In visible light, we can see stars like the Sun.
