After the International Astronomical Union (IAU) defined the current 88 constellations and their boundaries in 1930; astronomers do not create new constellations anymore. Before this, many constellations were made, but different constellations co-existed in the same sky area, so they needed to be organized. At this time, IAU defined the name and also the boundary and area of each constellation! When a new astonomoical body is discovered, the constellation name is used to tell its location. In this sense, constellations are the “address of the sky”.
