We propose to stretch MURALES, the program of Integral-Field-Unit (IFU) observations of 3CR radio sources, to the northern hemisphere, by observing 14 objects up to z∼ 0.8 with FOCAS in IFU mode. We will study the relationship between the ionized gas and relativistic outflows, exploring the feedback process, i.e., the exchange of matter and energy between AGN and their environment. VLT/MUSE data for 3CR sources with δ < 20∘ and z<0.3 are already available, showing clear examples of feedback (gas bubbles inflated by the radio outflows) and ionized gas extending over tens of kpc perpendicularly to the radio jets, likely the remnants of the gas-rich mergers which triggered the AGN. The requested FOCAS data can be combined with the unique multi wavelengths dataset available for these sources, adding a key ingredient for our understanding of the radio-loud AGN phenomenon. The extension to larger redshifts will enable us to follow the building of the most powerful radio-loud AGN to a lookback time of 7 billion years, reaching an epoch of vigorous star formation and AGN activity.
