One of the most important open questions regarding feedback mechanisms (i.e., the interaction between radio sources and their environments) is the coupling between radio sources and the multiphase gas haloes in which radio galaxies are embedded. These multiphase gas haloes include the hot plasma of the intracluster medium (ICM) and the warm ionized gas in Extended Emission Line Regions (EELRs). Great progress on the interplay between ICM, EELRs, and radio jets has been achieved thanks to MUSE observations of sources in the Third Cambridge Catalog from the MURALES survey and, in particular, from the comparison of Chandra and MUSE observations. Nevertheless, the current number of IFU observations of powerful radio sources is still very limited, hindering conclusions derived from statistical analyses. To solve this issue, we intend to carry out a Chandra and optical IFU comparison of powerful radio sources in the G4Jy-3CRE catalog at 0.3<z<0.8. This project will represent the first Chandra and optical IFU comparison of powerful radio galaxies at intermediate redshifts. Thus, we propose to carry out FOCAS IFU observations of the 4 sources in the G4Jy-3CRE catalog with available Chandra observations, 0.3<z<0.8, and visible from Subaru during 2023A.
