M dwarfs are attractive targets for transit surveys, for their enhanced transit depths and proximity of the habitable zone and snow line. Based on our previous campaign for the follow-up observations of K2 planet candidates around M dwarfs (K2 campaign fields C1–C10), we identified some possible trends such as that (1) the radius valley (Fulton et al. 2017) is also seen for M-dwarf planets, and (2) larger planets are only discovered around metal-rich M dwarfs (Hirano et al. 2018). After having detected additional planet candidates around M dwarfs in K2 fields C11–C18, we have followed up those stars using Subaru as well as other medium-class telescopes. In order to complete this long-standing K2 follow-up campaign since 2015, we here propose IRCS AO imaging and HDS & IRCS high-resolution spectroscopy, both which are of essential importance to rule out false positive scenarios and derive precise system parameters. Observing the remaining β‰ˆ 24 targets for spectroscopy and β‰ˆ 9 targets for imaging, we wish to publish a final catalog of candidate and validated planets around K2 low-mass stars, and discuss the detailed properties of M-dwarf planets such as the distribution of planet radii as a function of host star’s metallicity and Galactic population.
