We propose deep DEIMOS spectroscopy for 6 very rare strongly lensed galaxy candidates at z βΌ 5 β 6 found in the currently available βΌ 1000 deg2 data taken by the Subaru strategic program with Hyper Suprime-Cam (HSC SSP). These candidates are found in massive galaxy cluster fields identified with our cluster finding algorithm, CAMIRA (Oguri 2014). Thanks to the strong lensing effect, these candidates are apparently bright enough to conduct detailed follow-up studies. Following our initial successful identifications by short spectroscopic observations, we propose this normal program of DEIMOS spectroscopy. Our immediate goal is to spectroscopically confirm our very rare strongly lensed galaxies. In addition, we will examine the presence of an AGN in our candidates by targeting Nv1240. Our spectroscopy program will yield a unique sample of apparently bright strongly lensed galaxies at high redshifts, which will be good laboratories to study spatially resolved physical properties of typical high-z galaxies that are difficult to investigate by using current facilities without the strong lensing effect.
