SSA22-LAB1 is a giant Lyα blob located in the z=3.1 SSA22 proto-cluster. Recent ALMA surveys have brought unprecedented views on LAB1: dust and molecular gas widely distribute on a 50 kpc scale. We found that the unusual extended ISM structure is associated with an ongoing multiple-merger event, also identifying several ’missed’ galaxies. Therefore LAB1 is a unique laboratory to understand galaxy assembly in the cosmic web, while the current depth of a Ks-band image is not sufficient and stellar mass distributions in LAB1 has not yet uncovered. Here we propose deep SWIMS J-/Ks-band imaging of LAB1. Our goals are (i) most sensitive census of stellar masses of galaxies assembled in LAB1, (ii) characterization of the ALMA-identified galaxies, and (iii) testing the formation scenario of BCG-like galaxies in a forming phase.
