We propose deep Subaru/FOCAS integral-field unit (IFU) spectroscopy of a very luminous Lyman-break galaxy, “Big Three Dragons”, at z≈7.2 (Furusawa et al. 2016; Hashimoto et al. 2019) to target the Lyα line. Because of its high UV luminosity (≈ 5× L*) and infrared luminosity (≈ 1011 L), the target is the best laboratory to study detailed interstellar medium and circum-galactic medium of galaxies at z>7. The target has rich dataset among z>7 galaxies including HST imaging data, FOCAS slit-mode Lyα spectrum, and ALMA’s spatially-resolved [OIII] 88 µm, [CII] 158 µm, and dust continuum. Based on a perfect combination of a unique high sensitivity of FOCAS IFU mode at λ>9300 Å and Big Three Dragons, we will study the spatial and velocity structure of Lyα at z>7 for the first time. Combining these previous data with Lyα IFU data, we will compare the morphology of UV continuum, [CII], [OIII], and Lyα, enabling us to obtain a complete picture of ISM and CGM. Our observations will demonstrate the power of FOCAS IFU, and will serve as a reference study for future JWST IFU observations.
