We propose to acquire high resolution spectra of 4 stars, selected in the DR12 SDSS survey. Using a well proven algorithm (Ludwig et al. 2008) these stars have all estimated metallicities [Fe/H] β€ -3.0 dex. These spectra will permit not only to confirm the very low metal content of these stars, but also will give the detailed abundances of these star, in particular C, the alpha elements, neutron capture elements and the Li content. These observations will have a direct impact on our knowledge of the formation of most metal poor stars, the chemical evolution, and the Lithium content of the early Galaxy. A particular interest is the Li abundances of these objects; previous studies suggest a small departure from the so-called Li Spite plateau for objects with [Fe/H]β€ -3 and significant depletion of Li in most metal-poor stars. Our sample will fill the critical zone of data points at very low metallicity. Our observations will reveal the behavior of the r-process abundances at very low metallicity and shed light on their origin.
