We propose imaging and spectroscopic observations with Subaru/COMICS toward a periodic outbursting protostar EC53 together with IRTF/SpeX observations. The program aims to see any temporal variations of the ice/silicates absorption features between outburst and quiescent phases, to study time-dependent disk/envelope chemistry. Furthermore, we try to identify the carrier of the weak absorption feature at Β 11um in the EC53 mid-IR spectrum. This absorption feature is sometimes interpreted as the water ice libration mode, while others claims that it is the crystalline silicate (olivine) abosorption. By combining the IRTF/SpeX and Subaru/COMICS observations, we can estimate the water ice column density more precisely, and evaluate the carrier of the weak absorption feature at Β 11um in the EC53 mid-IR spectrum.
