(Proposal ID) S16A-148 (PI) Sato, Bunei (Proposal Title) Confirming Transiting Neptunes and M Dwarf Planets From HAT (Abstract) We propose for two nights on Subaru/HDS to obtain high-precision RV observations of four very promising candidate transiting planet systems from the HAT ground-based transit surveys. Two of the candidates are potential Neptune-mass planets, and two are very short period candidates around M dwarf stars. The proposed observations will allow us to confirm these planets, measure their masses, and characterize the host stars. If confirmed, these planets would represent a valuable addition to the small sample of well- characterized low-mass planets and planets around M dwarfs. Moreover, several of the objects would be planetary systems with unique properties, making them of great interest for future follow-up studies.
