Laser cutter trouble shooting
Cases 1:
You will find one (or more) of the followings:
- A Servo Error shows up in the YASNAC (central equipment) front
panel
near the floor.
- Alarm sign is blinking in the YASNAC front panel.
- Status lamp on the YASNAC turns in orange and red at a same time.
- Resetting the YASNAC (press reset, power on, and reset in the
front
panel) will not recover the alarm.
- The X-Y stage will not move in JOG mode.
Cause:
The X-Y stage has moved beyond the limit (came too closer to the lower
right).
Recovery procedure 1:
- Turn off the YASNAC by pressing red "0" button around the front
panel.
- Probably the X-Y stage is located near the front side. Shove the
stage
toward the center (to left and away) by hand by 10-20mm.
- Turn on the YASNAC by pressing green "1" button around the front
panel.
Recovery procedure 2 (when procedure 1 above dose not work):
- Turn off the YAGSCAN (right equipment).
- Turn off the YASNAC.
- Open the right side panel (there are two panels there. open one
away
from you) of the YASNAC. A screw driver is required.
- Turn off the main breaker inside the YASNAC. Then turn on it
again
after ~10 sec wait.
- Turn on the YAGSCAN.
- Turn on the YASNAC.
Case 2:
While operating a software "POWERCAM" on a gateway PC, software stops
working, especially while writing files onto a HD.
Cause:
Disk full of the drive C: will prevent the software to work properly.
The software writes so many temporary files during its operation. After
working for a long period (say, a half year), these files will
eventually occupy a large disk space.
Recovery procedure:
You need to delete OLD temporary directories in "C:\work", where all
the temporary files have been created. You can just move some of the
directories to "D:\work_backup", since D drive still has a lot of space
remaining.
