• A character "a" in the WCS keywords is the identifier of the world-coordinate system. It is default to blank for the primary WCS, else a character A through Z that specifies the coordinate version. See FITS Standard Document for more details.
• Obsolete keywords should not be used for new instruments, while the use of them are allowed for existing FITS files
