PIR: Prime Focus Unit for IR

PIR accomodates not only the fiber positioner system "Echidna" but also several other important components: Instrument rotator, wide-field corrector lens system, corrector movement mechanism (CMM), focus adjustment mechanism (FAM), Shack-Hardtmann (SH) wavefront sensor, and auto guider system for SH. The fibers in the Echidna system are linked with those from the spectrographs at the fiber connectors located on the side of PIR.
