CIAO camera filters

The following tables list the filters available for CIAO, together with their sensitivities. For point sources, 0.5'' seeing is assumed and an extraction aperture of 1.0'' diameter is used. For extended sources, the sensitivity is per 0.0217'' pixel. The transmission curves of each filter are available as plots or ASCII lists if indicated in the respective columns. All sensitivies are for 5 sigma detections in 1 hour of background-limited on-source integration.

We are now upgrading our array to a new Aladdin II detector which had been used in IRCS spectrograph side. This array has better cosmetics and it is expected to have better sensitivity than previous one. Since this array will be operated in a different condition from IRCS, basic parameters of limiting magnitude and sensitivities are not available at this moment. But you can still apply the previous parameters shown in the below table to calculate signal-to-noise ratio or exposure time.

These numbers are very preliminary.
