Arriving at Hale Pohaku

07: Arriving at Hale Pohaku

You have arrived at Hale Pohaku (HP), an accommodation facility for astronomers on Mauna Kea. The elevation here is about 9,200 feet (2,800m), which is about two thirds the height of Mauna Kea. You will notice the air being thinner and colder as compared to the base facility. Let's go check out the inside of this building.
